摘要

Findings from our Project Dynamics System Dynamics model provide useful pointers to project managers. The effects of time-varying project team size, of resultant productivity loss, of training and communication overload are incorporated in this model. Utilizing our model we simulate a hypothetical software technology project under different scenarios and starting assumptions. Results confirm that later within the projects the additions are made to project work, the longer it takes, and more expensive it is, to complete the projects. The smaller the project modules are, the more cost effectively are they completed with smaller but more productive project teams.
