The international standardization of intelligent transport system (ITS) has entered an in-depth study stage, but the domestic standardized work of ITS domain is not yet started. In order to ensure interoperability and compatibility, to guide and standardize the development of the industry, an ITS standard architecture should be set up. The paper introduces the background and a clear necessary of ITS standardization, and analyses the domestic and foreign ITS standardization research present situation, and gives ITS standardization basic principle, and presents the total structure and the key factors of ITS standard architecture.
