As a miniaturization requirement of satellite payload electronics, 64 channel hybridized analog multiplexer(HAMUX) is developed and qualified using multilayer thick film hybrid technology as per Indian SpaceResearch Organisation’s (ISRO) circuit type qualification process. The basic building block of HAMUX isradiation hardened, fault protected 16:1 channel analog multiplexer chip. The HAMUX can handle inputvoltage greater than power supply voltage with or without power to the device. Provision is made to use thevoltage reference either internal or external. Cascade inputs are provided to go upto 256 channel multiplexingoption. Both buffered and unbuffered outputs are provided to make it user selectable option. Radiation hardenedHAMUX has Total Ionisation Dosage (TID) of more than 100KRads. All inputs to HAMUX are ESD protectedfor ease of device handling. HAMUX is tested and qualified for 50’g’ sine vibration requirement.
