The integration of renewable energies is becoming more and more interesting for many researchers and industrials at international level. Several countries have started to develop different projects in this direction in order to meet properly the growing needs of their population and replace then conventional sources with their negative environmental impact. Considering the diversity of its energy resources and its exceptional geographical position, Morocco has adopted an energy strategy which aims to cover its energy needs with renewable sources reaching a rate of 52% by 2030. Nevertheless, these clean energies also have a variety of constraints and challenges that must be overcome or optimised in order to facilitate their exploitation and implementation in our daily lives. Solar energy is among these promising renewable resources, especially for Morocco, but remains complex and less efficient in some cases. In this article, we have chosen to limit our study to solar energy especially Photovoltaic Systems (PV Systems) and particularly the challenge of the Storage part. It was analysed in two cases in Stand-Alone and Grid-Connected PV Systems in order to define the optimal operation of the battery in the both cases. Optimal PV Systems sizing depends on different components especially on the battery part.
