摘要

End-of-life photovoltaic modules are addressed by the WEEE directive and the pertinent recycling rates need to be fulfilled. The goal of this project is the development of a comprehensive recycling/reuse concept for c-Si PV modules. If possible, defect modules should be repaired for reuse. A reliable failure analysis is basis to the tailored repair/recycling process aimed at. The failure analysis starts with a visible inspection, followed by electrical measurements and ends with analysing images taken with an NIR-enhanced CCD Camera. The method allows for a reliable detection of most types of defects occurring in end-of-life modules. Main part of this paper is a description of the workflow for the image analysis necessary to find these defects.
