Aiming at the problems of low efficiency and nonreusable of model development in Military Equipment Virtual Training System based on Virtools, which is about the highly coupling of Appearance Model and Principle ModeL By analyzing, the structure of virtual model, an idea of independent development of the two models is proposed. On this basis, it brings in a new behavior control method which based on Message Control Mechanism of Virtools. It allows Principle Model separate from Appearance Model, carries independent development and maintenance, and improves maintainability and reusability of the model. Anti-aircraft Artillery Virtual Training System, which based on this method, has already been applied in some military universities and verified the feasibility of this method.
