~(239,240)Pu activity concentration determination in moss from forests of different Lithuanian regions by means of radioanalytical and alpha spectrometric methods is presented. Obtained results indicated the influence of Chernobyl origin plutonium on the elevated ~(239,240)pu activity concentration values in the regions over which radioactive air masses were passing. It was determined that moss species Pleurozium schreberi was the best ~(239,240)pu fixing bioindicator in comparison with the studied moss species Hylocomium splendens and Eurhynchium angustirete.
