摘要

The abundance of digital image editing software as well as the digital cameras has enabled digital images to be forged easily. This development in the digital image technologies has rendered detection by naked eye insufficient and inadequate. However, during the compression process, the quality of JPEG image used can act as a 'natural watermark' to detect any tampering of the image. As such, we proposed an algorithm to detect and identify image tampering using,the inconsistencies in the JPEG image quality. This paper presents the experimental results to validate our approach.
