摘要

In this paper,a scheme for cutting face-gear with an internal gear elliptical sphericity hob is proposed.The coordinates systems and simulation for cutting face gears are established and performed.The simulation results indicate that the surface errors of the face gears cut by between a elliptical sphericity hob and a shaper are very small.The tooth contact analysis indicates that the transmission errors and contact path of face-gear drive by hobbing are reasonable.The surface errors become small gradually along with the increase of the hob's radius.This research finds a new method for machining face gears.
