摘要

As laser transmits in the complex atmospheric environment, the interaction of light with raindrops such as absorption and scattering will take place, so the laser pulse are attenuated and delayed that lead to the decrease of the transmission distance. As a consequence, the rain attenuation greatly affects the application of laser detection in the rain. A large amount of researches about laser attenuation in sand, fog and haze have been carried out, but the rain attenuation is not being further investigated. The development status at home and abroad was introduced, the transmission characteristics of laser in the rain were discussed and the impact of rain attenuation to laser detection was analyzed. The transmission characteristic of pulse laser in the rain provides a theoretical basis to further improve the detection performance of the system.
