In this paper, a reversible thermochromism cotton fabric has been prepared by applying reversible thermochromism materials hybrid silica sol-gel onto the surface of fabric. The reversible thermochromism fabric was found to have a pretty obvious and quick visual effect. Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and silane coupling agent (KH-560) were used together as the precursors. Mixed with silica from a precursor containing a long alkyl chain reduced the influence on the fabric handle. Based on the research, when the mole ratio of GPTMS to TEOS is 3:2, the utilization amount of thermochromism materials is 30g, the preliminary drying time is 45min, the baking temperature is 130°C, the finished fabrics have excellent thermochromism performance and more pleasant hand feeling.
