In this paper,three segmented water pipelines are tested to obtain the leak flow with different joint displacements. The pipelines' material is cast iron and their joints are all sealed with rubber ring. The experiment includes two cases,unburied and buried. During the process of two cases,the pipeline is full of water and pulled until the joint displacement arrives at some specified values. Then the leak flow is measured. Using the experimental results,the linear regression relationship between leak flow and joint displacement is given. Moreover,a common leakage model,which delineates the relationship between leak flow and joint displacement,is introduced and some important parameters are given using the experimental data.
