The gas flow fields of the bag filter with different inlet configurations (one perpendicular inlet, double perpendicular inlets and double inclined inlets) were simulated by means of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology in this study, and the velocity field, the flow rate distribution coefficient across each bag in the bag filter of three simulation cases were calculated. The results indicate that the airflow distribution of the bag filter with one perpendicular inlet is very uneven, and the flow rate of the front bag is smaller than that of the back one, which easily leads to the back bag wear in advance. Additionally, the velocity distribution of the bag filter with double perpendicular inlets has been significantly improved compared with one perpendicular inlet, and the flow rate distribution is basically even. Finally, the flow rate distribution of the bag filter with double inclined inlets has been marginally improved. However, from the velocity field near the inlet, this inlet configuration has high pre-separation effect for particles. The results can be used to guide the design, performance and alteration of the bag filter.
