It is common for some compressors in certain applicationsto have one or more incoming sidestreams that introduce flowother than at the main inlet to mix with the core flow. In mostcases, the pressure levels at these sidestreams must beaccurately predicted to meet contractual performanceguarantees. The focus of this paper is the prediction ofsidestream flange pressure when the return channel outletconditions are provided. A model to predict the impact of localcurvature in the mixing section is presented and compared withboth Computational Fluid Dynamics work and measured testdata.
