摘要

A NASA/General Electric (GE) collaboration is exploring the design space for lower noise while maintaining the high propulsive efficiency from a counter-rotating open rotor system. As part of the collaboration with GE, the F31/A31 Historical Baseline Blade Set was fabricated and tested extensively for aerodynamic performance, acoustic character and detailed flow field features. This comprehensive data set for F31/A31 is meant to serve as a reference for validation of modeling and simulation capabilities for open rotor systems. This paper presents the geometric configuration and test setup as well as the representative validation data. A comprehensive electronic data package containing the geometric configuration and measured performance, acoustic and velocity field data is available.
