A design study with multi-objective optimisation and stability analysis is performed for the nozzle and external geometry of an axisymmetric scramjet, aiming to achieve both high engine efficiency and vehicle stability while ensuring room for instrumentation. Population-based optimisation with surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms is performed for maximum thrust and forward C.G. positioning. Fin drag is estimated from the fin area required for vehicle stabilisation.
