摘要

The rapid growth and the rising fuel demand of civil aviation are at odds with the effort to reduce the environmental pollution. Hydrogen fueled gas turbines could provide an answer of the increasing treat by environmental pollution. Besides modification of the combustion technology with regard to secure low NO_x combustion of the hydrogen, the control strategy of a hydrogen-driven engine is another important issue. The paper looks at the adoption of an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) GTCP 36-300 for using gaseous hydrogen as gas turbine fuel. The required hardware and control modifications are discussed and the operational behavior of a hydrogen engine will be compared to a kerosene-driven one.
