Four award winning California bridge documentaries which entertain but informthe public about Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) are discussed in this paper. The filmsfeature the rebuilding of the fire damaged MacArthur Maze Bridge, ABC in use at the SanFrancisco Oakland Bay Bridge and accelerated construction on a high traffic section ofInterstate 5 in Sacramento California. These films make liberal use of animation and graphicsto make complex engineering topics easier to understand and more accessible to the generalpublic.
