The unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced aluminium composites have been fabricated by low pressure infiltration method (LPI). Prior to the fabrication of the unidirectional C_f/Al composites, the preparation of unidirectional carbon fiber preform carried out in terms of the fabrication condition and their properties. The unidirectional carbon fibers with the copper powders which were dispersed into the carbon fibers were fabricated by the spark sintering with different sintering temperatures. In order to confirm the resistance of carbon fiber preform against the infiltration pressure of molten aluminium to the longitudinal direction, the strength property of carbon fiber preform were evaluated by the compression test. The unidirectional carbon fiber preform by spark sintering was well formed with the fabrication temperature condition at 1123K in accordance with the formation of copper particles between carbon fibers. The unidirectional C_f/Al composites have been investigated the effect of the different infiltration pressure on the variation of density and microstructure.
