@@ 1. INTRODUCTION The 2008 Sichuan earthquake with a magnitude of Mw 8.0 induced numerous landslides. Remote sensing plane was sent out to take aerial photographs. We can make an instant interpretation of the geologic hazards from these high resolution aerial photographs. However, we still cannot get all the aerial images covering all the places of the study area in a short time because of the limitation of the plane and the influence of the weather condition. This paper establishes a statistical model based on the landslide interpretation results of data of one photographic strip inside the Beichuan-Pingwu area. It has a strong applicability and can be applied to other places without photographic strip data. Finally we obtain the landslide susceptibility mapping which provide a scientific support to the instant evaluation of disaster information and post-disaster reconstruction.
