摘要

A super absorbent polymer was prepared by the reaction of sawdust with acrylic acid. Some polymerization conditions such as consumption of monomer, initiator, cross-linking agent and polymerizing temperature and time were investigated. The optimal reaction conditions were obtained via water absorption ratio and the copolymer structure was characterized by IR. The result showed that the resin could absorb 1560 times water, 115 times salt solution as its own mass, and its water retention capacity was well; and further, the graft copolymer produced could be reclaimed and exploited as water absorbent material repetitively.
