摘要

The objective of the work was to carry out noise reduction activity on a naturally aspirated agricultural tractor engine to find out the radiation efficiency of individual components by comparing predicted SWL with measurement techniques. Experimental modal testing was carried out on all engine components to find out its natural frequencies, mode shapes and damping ratios. Experimental results were compared with FE modal analysis to correlate driving point transfer functions and structural optimizations on identified components were carried out to reduce noise radiating from engine.
