AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON CLIENTS' UNDERSTANDING OF SOUND INSULATION OF WINDOWS BY LISTENING EXPERIENCE

While classification for sound insulation of windows is widely employed as an indicator of the quality of residence, primary importance exists in clients' understanding of insulation performance in relation to the classifications as they have insufficient knowledge and experience. For this purpose, in the experiment of this study, an electronic learning program that includes listening experience and a listening test to judge sound insulation class was built in order to examine that listening experiences could improve subjects' discernment of the classification of sound insulation. As a result, the average score of the class judgment test improved after having the program and the improvement varied with the extent of the experience or experimental settings.
