DECISION SUPPORT TOOL-ZHANGJIAGANG PILOT PROJECT

摘要

Zhangjiagang pilot project was launched within the framework of "Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for Environmental Protection". The Zhangjiagang Pilot Project for the development of a DST (Decision Support Tool) is part of a scope of feasibility studies for natural resources protection, energy efficiency, and renewable sources promotion. The Pilot Study is focused on the two parts: 1) GIS and Hydraulic model implementation and the preliminary design of a DST for urban water management; 2) The use of integrated modelling in the management of Zhangjiagang sewer and wastewater system can be seen as a strategic support tool to achieve the optimization in both WWTP processes management and sewer network and pumping stations operation. Finally, the preliminary design of the DST (Decision Support Tool), based on the GIS/SCADA/model system has been developed describing the general concept of the tool and the interactions between objects that will need to be put into effect in the future implementation stage.
