EFFICIENT APPROACH TO EVALUATION OF ECOLOGICAL MODEL UNCERTAINTY

Uncertainty of complex ecological models is investigated based on a large number of simulation runs, which are computationally demanding. Examination of specific models' features suggests an approach reducing the number of required model runs. The paper describes cascading simulation framework and uncertainty analysis of the model built under this framework. Presented case study illustrates the efficiency of backward approach to model uncertainty evaluation.
