REVIEW OF THE TEN YEAR DEVELOPMENT OF CHINESE DREDGING TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT

摘要

The China dredging industry has developed from imitation to innovation, the source of dredgers and components have changed from import-dependent to domestic-made, dredger size from small to large or jumbo. Basically, China has changed from a country with the largest dredging needs in the world and a dependent country on dredger import 10 years ago to one with independent innovation ability and grasping the core and key technologies for design and building of large to mega dredgers. This paper introduces the major events and achievements in this ten years, including dredging capacity, BCCTSHD technique, dredging control system, optimization technique, design and homebuilding large modern dredgers, as well as relevant technical advancements.
