Study on Wireless Mobile Video Surveillance Based on COFDM and H.264 Encoding Standard

During law enforcement of the police, emergency incidents are unpredictable, which happened often in monitoring shadow regions without the fixed video camera. Thus, we need real-time, accurate, multi-faceted, multi-angle tracking of the development of incident. In this way, it will help remote commander grasp emergency scene information fast and completely, and establish a plan of action for on-site control, resource allocation and staff scheduling, for improving the efficiency of law enforcement and capabilities of handling cases in coordination. In this paper, the popular wireless mobile video transmission technology are analyzed and investigated in-depth. For eliminating the problems in the popular technology, we proposed some key technology in the wireless mobile video surveillance system based on COFDM technology and H.264 encoding standard. This is applied to Qingdao Public Safety Emergency Command System safely.
