In this paper we propose the channel allocation method for Poisson handoff arrivals and new calls generated in the same cell. We applied the TDMA based approach along with the time slot split method. Our simulation results have shown that during network over load conditions dropping probability of handover calls could be reduced to minimum and blocking probability of new calls can be decreased to acceptance level and connectivity of mobile nodes could be increased to twice in number.
