Integration of Models for Automation Controllers in OPC UA

摘要

While introducing new concepts it is essential to consider the integration of components already existing or being based on alternative and well established technologies. For several reasons, such as investments, skills of persons etc., it is the usual case not to replace complete installations. The integration of web services in automation area is also driven by the OPC UA specification, mainly used for the vertical information exchange. This paper describes the representation of the controller software model based on IEC 61131-3 in OPC UA (Unified Architecture).
