摘要

Conical twin-screw is a kind of surface body with complex geometric parameters. In order to realize rapid and accurate 3D modeling,according to the generation theory of the screw kinematics,this paper proposes a sweep modeling method based on the spiral curve. In the method,the trajectory of spiral curve and the tooth profile section are taken as sweep path and primitive respectively. By the vertical sweep all thread entities are obtained. Furthermore,combining with boolean operation,a 3D modeling of the conical twin-screw is established. Because of the method only depends on theoretical calculation result of spiral curve,calculation complexity is reduced compared with the presented methods,and high rendering speed and ideal 3D simulation results can be achieved easily.
