A Study on the Choosing of Innovation Mode Based on Enterprise Technological Innovation Capability Maturity

The aim of this paper is to study enterprise technology innovation capability through capability maturity model which has been frequently used in software industry to evaluate development capability. According to this model, we first construct a technological innovation capability maturity level system and the responding level features, Key Process Areas and Key Practices. Then we discuss the relationship between technological innovation capability maturity and innovation mode, and analyse the choosing of innovation mode according to technological innovation capability maturity level characteristics and their Key Process Areas. Our research finds that, enterprises may choose different innovation mode or innovation mode combination based on different technological innovation capability maturity. The enterprises with high maturity of technological innovation capability can choose a variety of innovation modes and their combination. On the other hand, the enterprise with low maturity can only choose simple mode of innovation.
