It is known that an adhesion strength of pressure-sensitive adhesive increases by the development of interfacial adhesion and cohesive strength of adhesive. It is important to know the contribution balance between these two factors in order to clarify the adhesion mechanism. For this purpose, Creton et al.,[1] Zosel [2] and Doi et al. [3] utilized a probe tack test. For example, Creton et al. [1] analyzed the fracture energy measured by the stress-displacement curve and the deformation behavior during the probe tack test. They observed the void or fibril formation in the adhesive layer during the test. From these results, they discussed about how to act the cohesive strength of adhesive on the tack.
