Several key problems in software development of digital vortex flowmeters with low power consumption are studied carefully. The 2N points RFFT is computed by N points CFFT to shorten the calculation time and to meet the real-time requirements of system. The calculation results of power spectrum and frequencies are averaged to enhance stability of measurement results, and a threshold of frequency jumping is set to increase response speed of system. The correction method of meter factor is improved to increase the measurement accuracy of meter. Pulses are output by timer interrupt and PWM module, the decimal fraction is accumulated to compensate the output pulses and to eliminate the error between total pulses and total flow mate.
