Transparency has long been touted as Corporate America’s path to building public trust.Yet, without clear articulation in corporate financial reports, transparency achieves littleof its intended disclosure. This paper will identify current corporate practices thatminimize the benefits of transparency, and will outline a rubric for effectiveness, clarity,and depth for corporate financial communication.
