The results demonstrate that condensation can be carried out in continuous mode using a microreactor system. In comparison to the batch mode, continuous flow condensation can be practically carried out in a kinetically controlled manner. It could therefore be shown that the reaction rate of the DNDA5 synthesis is siginificantly higher than the reaction rate of the DNDA7 synthesis. This is due to the fact that the solubility of the N-methynitramine in the acid phase is higher than the solubility of the N-ethynitramine. During the condensation reaction the reaction rate decreases, as a result of the concentration dependency of the reaction rate.
