In order to evaluate the behaviour and performance of movable transportation systems, usually the elapsed time between the successive events is measured. The event is defined as the crossing condition between the trajectory of the moving system and physicaly marked line. The exact time point when the data will be presented plays a very important role in those solutions. It is always more valueable to do it as soon as possible in the runtime, as the information retrieved could be used to adopt the further usage of the moving system. Today, those mostly accessible “on board” systems are usually including statical and portable event sensoring subsystem, attached to the moving assessable object. With the GPS technology and processing of multidimensional data, it is possible to determine “crossing - drive through” event by using numerical analysis, interpolation methods. This approach calculates the observable time value result of the event. Information is collected with serial protocol, and stored on the processing system in real time, which further allows usage in analysis and comparation of obtained values. The processing system is based on a soft real-time platform, which also allows visualization of the actual values directly on the mobile system, in the working environment during runtime. The accuracy of the system can further be imporved with the usage of the multiple sampling sensor in combination with improved method of interpolation.
