摘要

The purpose of this paper is primarily to develop the analytical model for estimating practical runway capacity for the airport which has multiple crossing runways, and also to analyze the impact of the sequencing of the departure/arrival aircrafts considering wake turbulence category with the developed model. The study is conducted on Haneda airport in Tokyo which will have new 4th runway in late 2010 as a case study. Haneda airport will have two set of open-parallel runways with crossing layout (16/34 L/R, 04/22 L/R). Consequently, the departure and arrival traffics willwill operate dependently with higher complexity than current condition. The runway capacity estimation model for such a condition is developed based on the existing statistical method, but adding some new concepts for the interaction between departure and arrival traffic in crossing runways. The feasibility of the separation control of consecutive airborne aircrafts by air traffic controllers is also considered. By using the developed model, we analyze the necessary constraints on aircraft sequencing and spacing for attaining the runway capacity planned by the government and for expanding the capacity.
