摘要

The purpose of this paper is primarily to develop the analytical model for estimating practicalrunway capacity for the airport which has multiple crossing runways, and also to analyze theimpact of the sequencing of the departure/arrival aircrafts considering wake turbulence categorywith the developed model. The study is conducted on Haneda airport in Tokyo which will havenew 4th runway in late 2010 as a case study. Haneda airport will have two set of open-parallelrunways with crossing layout (16/34 L/R, 04/22 L/R). Consequently, the departure and arrivaltraffics willwill operate dependently with higher complexity than current condition. The runwaycapacity estimation model for such a condition is developed based on the existing statisticalmethod, but adding some new concepts for the interaction between departure and arrival trafficin crossing runways. The feasibility of the separation control of consecutive airborne aircrafts byair traffic controllers is also considered. By using the developed model, we analyze the necessaryconstraints on aircraft sequencing and spacing for attaining the runway capacity planned by thegovernment and for expanding the capacity.
