Design and Development of Urban Traffic Video Integrated Detector

摘要

Based on the advanced traffic flow video multi reuse and HD video detectiontechnology, we designed and developed an integrated urban traffic video detector. Thedetector can make the best use of existing video resources to achieve comprehensivemonitoring capabilities, including traffic incident detection, traffic-flow volumedetection, vehicle license plate recognition, vehicle violation detection, vehicleblacklist detection and real-time remote monitoring. It can be installed on urbanintersections, entrances and exits of highway and expressway. The detector can alsoprovide traffic information needed by intersection signal controllers, including switchtraffic flow data, travel time, comprehensive traffic flow data and traffic flow incidentinformation, and to achieve traffic signal controllers of urban intersections orentrances and exits of highway. The adoption of the new technology can improve thecapability of manager to the integrated monitoring, effective coordination and trafficcontrol of urban road network.
