After decade’s development, Chinese dairy industry is undergoing the industry growth period during which the whole industry has tendency to be more centralized and the market structure tends to be more rational with low performance and excessive competition which is unfavorable for the development of dairy industry. By using the industrial organization theory, an evaluation system of market performance is built, regression model is set up, and the empirical research on market structure and market performance of Chinese dairy industry is done, therefore, the countermeasures are proposed about establishing oligopoly-type market structure to promote sound development of dairy industry.
