摘要

This paper presents a similarity analysis for the Marangoni convection induced flow over a flat surface due to an imposed temperature gradient.The approximate analytical solutions are obtained by an efficient transformation,asymptotic expansion and Pade approximant technique.The comparison of numerical and analytical solutions is done.The associated transfer mechanism is analyzed in detail.The mathematical technique employed in this paper has the significance in studying some other problems of engineering.
