Numerical simulations of the oriented aggregation of BaTiO_3 nanocrystals using the dipole-dipole interaction model have been performed under conditions corresponding to those used in ultrasound-assisted synthesis. The results suggest that BaTiO_3 nanocrystals with a diameter of 5 nm have a spontaneous polarization that is not more than one order of magnitude lower than the value of ~0.15 C/m~2 for a macroscopic BaTiO_3 single crystal.
