Hematite iron ore pellets have high firing temperature and need more energy, so that in rotary-kiln production line hematite pellet difficult to reach the required strength and on the other hand easily result in rotary ring formation. Series of tests as palletizing, drying, firing and quality analyzing were carried out using Brazilian south part hematite concentrate proportioned with coal or boride iron ore concentrate, and analyzed the different effect of coal and boride iron ore on hematite pellet firing thermal scheme and the pellet quality in this article. And put forward the application of Brazilian south part hematite in pellet production and the appropriate proportion of coal and boride iron ore and corresponding firing thermal scheme and pellet quality.
