Paper based products represent the best alternative to developing compostable and biodegradablepackaging. However since paper is extremely hydroscopic, polymer coatings on paper are frequentlyemployed. In this paper, we investigate the use of biodegradable polymer as a coating for paper. Wevary the thickness of the coating and compare the mechanical performance of the coated paper.
