A framework for optimal design of reactivedistillation columns

摘要

This work presents an integrated framework involving the design, multiobjectiveoptimization and rigorous modeling of reactive distillation columns with multiple feedsand variable feed quality. An incremental approach is used, where a large number ofalternatives with low design detail are followed by a reduction in alternatives with anincreased detail in their design specifications. Each phase of the methodology ispresented, highlighting the transition between them and the conclusions that can lead tothe development of heuristic rules.
