Solubilization of C60 Fullerenes in Amphiphilic Molecules: Formulation Development and MolecularModeling Studies

In the current study we aim to determine thesolubilization of unmodified C60 fullerenes in PLA(X)-PEG (5) copolymers with molar composition in the range50-70% PEG. Molecular modeling approaches (moleculardynamic simulations and atomistic simulation models)were employed to simulate the interactions betweenindividual copolymers and fullerenes. Toxicity studies ofsolubilized C60 in polymers were carried to cultured cells.
