摘要

Multi-axis controlled machine tools require high performance rotary table systems. In this study, we propose a hybrid actuator based on a new design concept and then combines it into a rotary table system. The actuator proposed is constructed from electric and pneumatic actuators so as to complement their characteristics each other. Performance evaluation results confirm that the developed table system achieves high driving torque, high positioning accuracy and high stability.
