Research on Tourism Cooperation between Yunnan and ASEAN

As the agreement of service trade between China and ASEAN was signed in 2007,it provides the institutional guarantee for tourism cooperation between Yunnan and ASEAN. With the establishment of CAFTA(China-ASEAN Free Trade Area) on Jan. 1st of 2010,cooperation between Yunnan and ASEAN has run into the fast lane. Tourism cooperation has also been brought into the agenda. Yunnan and ASEAN are both rich in tourism resources and the important destination for each other's tourists,and the two parties have laid a good foundation for the tourism cooperation. But how to develop the tourism cooperation and promote tourism industry by taking advantage of the opportunity of the establishment of CAFTA remains a problem which is well worth studying. This article analyzes the foundation and content of the Yunnan-ASEAN tourism cooperation and to make a preliminary research on the cooperation prospects.
