The study of the critical success factors (CSFs) for e-business systems has emerged into an active research area in the domain of information system. In this paper, we build a model of success factors of e-business for the Chinese service industry. Eight hypotheses are proposed. With the survey data from 216 firms in China, the hypotheses are verified using regression analysis. Study results reveal that four critical success factors, namely, information sharing capabilities, collaborative process capabilities, knowledge management and strategy. These critical factors improve the success rate of implementing e-business in service enterprises.
