The National Aquatic Center ( Water Cube) has very high technical contents, among which new polyhedron steel frame system and ETFE set technique are the most important key technologies. As for the complicated and changeable steel structures, creative technical strive guided by computer simulation has been undertaken in steel structure's installation, positioning, welding, unloading and supporting system, thus guaranteed works quality, safety and progress. Profound study of ETFE air pillow material in terms of shaping, structure design, interior environment, installation and monitoring of membrane full enclosure to effectively ensure the outlook and interior comfort index in the design concept.
